Dan Phiffer builds websites.

I live on Mohican land a short distance up the Hudson river from Albany (a long distance from NYC), in Troy, NY. My wife Ellie and I are raising two kids and a small flock of chickens. We live with an elder cat named Beefra next to a majestic ginkgo in a neighborhood that used to have many ash trees.

I’m a software developer who builds and maintains websites. I work at ProPublica and am a member of ProPublica Guild. I volunteer with The Sanctuary For Independent Media, I help moderate and maintain a cooperative Mastodon instance, social.coop.
